Meet Curtis Sok
I am a first-generation American. When my father brought our family to the United States as teenagers, he taught us two enduring lessons: in America, you must seek opportunity, and if you work hard with integrity, you will earn respect. Those principles have guided my life and career.
Before entering the legal profession, I worked in sales and marketing for major corporations and a small garment manufacturer in Los Angeles. During that time, I witnessed the devastating impact of the Los Angeles civil unrest on small business owners — many of them immigrants who saw their livelihoods destroyed. I saw hardworking families struggling not only to rebuild their businesses, but also to navigate a justice system they did not fully understand.
That experience deeply influenced my decision to become an attorney. It strengthened my belief that the justice system must be fair, accessible, and respectful of every person who enters a courtroom.
Today, I am seeking the opportunity to serve Fresno County as a Superior Court Judge, guided by the same principles my father taught me: opportunity, integrity, and respect.

For more than 26 years, I have dedicated my legal career to representing indigent defendants and immigrants, ensuring their rights under the constitution regardless of their background, because we all are protected by the same safeguard under the law and constitution.
Throughout my career, I have handled serious felony cases. This work has required careful preparation, respect for the rule of law, and a deep understanding of the profound impact criminal cases have on victims, families, and communities.
My experience in the courtroom has reinforced the importance of due process, fairness, and equal justice. I believe the role of a judge is to apply the law faithfully, treat every person with dignity, and ensure that justice is administered without bias or favoritism.
I am seeking to serve Fresno County as a Superior Court Judge committed to fairness, integrity, and equal justice for all.
